With the two layers you can dry multiple items at one time. Each layer is plenty large enough to dry large sized sweaters. Extra large sweaters will probably hang off the edges. I was most worried about the hook because it is too small for a standard sized shower rod, but I realized I could put the hook over the rod and clasp the rope to which it is attached. Quick and easy. It takes a few tries to master folding it back down to its storage size, but becomes quite easy after two or three times. The storage size is smaller than a dinner plate, so you can put it almost anywhere.

The clip was a strong metal clip that is big enough for any rod--unlike some other reviews I read before ordering. It is strong, yet flexible-- folding is easy if you follow directions. I love it.

I have to fold-up clothes hangers with mesh on top for drying sweaters, which are great, but take up a lot of floor space. I got these hanging dryers for when I just had sweaters to dry and didn't want to use the whole rack. These are great - I hang it on my shower curtain rod for lack of a better spot. The only problem I had was that the caribiner clip that comes with them is too small to fit over a standard curtain rod. Mine is a tension rod, so I ended up slipping the top loop over the rod which was just a bit of a hassle every time I wanted to take it down or hang it up. I ended up getting a big caribiner from a sporting goods store, and that works fine. If you have a smaller rod to hang it over it should not be a problem. I haven't had them for a long time, so I do not know how well they will hold up long-term, but in general I am happy with them.

This product is easy to use and store, is gentle on delicate clothes, and doesn't drop clothes when the breeze comes up. Clothes dry quickly and without the imprint of the mesh left on them. The only factor I would change on this product is to design a more efficient and pretty clip that stays in place instead of the bulky metal hook.

This item did not work well at all. We tried it once. Sweater did not lie flat, with the suspending lines interfering. Not large enough. We threw it away.

I really like the sweater drying rack, but one of the straps broke off of the top rack. It still works, I just use an alligator clip to hold it together, but it broke after I used the rack only a few times.

I needed a sweater dryer for my sweaters. I bought two. This item is handy, but I modified it so I can easily put a sweater on top and bottom. As is, it's a little difficult to put a sweater with all five strips attached. I cut one strap, top and bottom and used velcro to reattach and it works well. This gives me plenty room to place large sweaters to dry. I like the idea that I can fold it up and hang when not in use.
