I am the ironing queen--I have to iron my clothes no matter where I am. I travel frequently, and have had to make do with ironing on beds until now. I purchased this ironing blanket for an upcoming trip. When I got it yesterday, I used it at home, it did a great job! Although it had been folded, after actually ironing the blanket itself, the creases came out. It worked perfectly for ironing on the bed.
However, I did find the padding to be a bit excessive, as well as noisy, so I removed the two foam layers that were the backing. I now have exactly what I need: a thin blanket upon which to iron that I can easily roll up to put in my suitcase. No more ironing on hotel beds for this traveling Spanish teacher! I highly recommend this product! It would be nice if the company offered one that came without the foam backing.
