I used the sweater bags to wash my merino wool sweaters and delicate shirts (i.e. cotton shirts with sequins and beading) in the washing machine. They work great keeping the snags away, and they save money by reducing dry cleaning bills. These won't help clothes whose material just will not survive being agitated - wash those by hand or dry clean.

As mentioned above, everything about the product is excellent except the size of the mesh. Hooks get caught in it, requiring extra care in getting contents out.

The different color mesh bags make may life easy. Put your kid's socks in one and your husband's in another and you don't have to loose time sorting them out.
