I've had one of these for many years and use it more than I do my "normal" living room chairs. I like how portable it is and as far as cushioning goes I'd say it has plenty. Seat or back it doesn't really matter, you can sit on it either way. I'm very tempted to get rid of my two big heavy living room chairs and replace them with a couple more of these handy little things!!! You can tip back in them and they are very comfortable.
