The finish is beautiful; but the manufacturing quality control is just not good enough. The result is an assembly nightmare, with drawers which don't fit. The plywood bottom panel for one of the small drawers was too long to ever fit and had to be trimmed. The metal rails which support the file-drawer are factory-installed, presumably to guarantee proper alignment; but one of mine was hanging loose because 2 of the 3 screw-heads had been driven completely through the rail, splitting the underlying wood. The file drawer wood has a cut-out to clear the metal slide mechanism, but the cut is too shallow and the wood scrapes on the metal rail.
After many hours of frustrating work and modification (re-drilling and re-installing screws, sanding down places where wood scraped inside etc.) I have file cabinets which look delightful and work well enough.
It's a shame, really. This file and the matching compact desks fill a niche not served by other office furniture. But don't buy the file unless you have some wood-working skill to fix manufacturing defects!
