I think the totes are little pricey, but since [@] does not carry what I need that is similar to this anymore, this product will serve the purpose. It was really hard to spend the $ that they have these priced for, but for any plastic product anymore, it is pricey.The Lid needs to be a little more sturdy, and have a raised edge on the top, so when these are stacked they dont slip off as easily if pushed. I LOVE the concept of the lid. I dont have to remove the entire thing just to get to one file, i can lift one of the two sides! that is much easier. That is mainly what sold me on this particular tote.
Delivery takes too long. I called customer service and asked them to please send it regular Fed-ex instead the 2nd shipment AGAIN went home delivery.... This stinks. It would be nice for the customer to choose who they would like to use. Time is the Essence. I would be willing to use my own UPS account number so the items would get here sooner if it was an option.

I first obtained a few of these file boxes from a retailer that is now out of business. Recently I decided to clean out old files in my home office, and the Iris file boxes were just what I needed. My first batch is still in perfection condition, so I believe that these boxes are suitable for long term storage. There is a stack in my garage, cheaper and more movable that a file cabinet. If you use hanging file folders, these boxes are ideal for temporary storage while organizing and for permanent storage.
I ordered 5 boxes from Stack & Stacks. By good luck, the manufacturer ships them in cartons of 5 boxes.

Love the extra long size. The file box allows more items in one place for easier filing and storage. The dual flip-up lid makes it easy to retreive files without taking the lid off. The clear plastic looks great with any decor.

I know it is designed for hanging folders but I also use it for storage of pictures,toys and other items. The best feature is that you can open either side so when the container is sitting on a shelf it has easy access.

I was extremely pleased with the products I purchased (I bought multiple versions of basically the same kind of plastic/vinyl storage box). Even though one arrived with a shattered length of its frame near the wheels, the box remained wheelable and the damage did not affect its integrity as a storage container.
