From the description, I was expecting "plastic" boxes - in other words, something hard (that mice could not chew.) However, the boxes are cardboard with some type of plastic-like coating (which mice could chew.) We are using the boxes at church for long-term archival storage and like the size and convenience of the separate boxes.
