I had been using my laptop in the living room, looking down at the coffee table. This desk is so nice because I can work at a comfortable height, then roll it aside when taking a TV break.

The surface is about 6-7 inches too high, at the lowest setting. I was planning to use it from my sofa, but must reach too high for the keyboard, so it is unusable. It will cost too much to ship back, so for now it is in a closet. My plan was to be able to set-up my laptop and work or check on work emails during the evenings or weekends, ( I support production databases 24/7) and then just swing it out of the way when I was not using it. Because it is so high, I am not able to use it for this purpose. It is well designed and sturdy, but I was not aware of the height.

I work from home and use this mobile desk to hold my laptop when I'm sitting in my recliner on on a couch. It works well. I drilled one extra hole in the main extension arm to extend the main desk a little further over my sitting area.

This is a great asset to my lifestyle - I multi-task bigtime. With this desk I can work standing up (although there is a slight wobble the higher the desk goes up) or from my daybed, which is about 30 inches high. The small side desktop is large enough to accomodate my auxiliary speakers, while the larger desktop comfortably holds my laptop and mouse. If I did not have a laptop, I could still see many uses for this great mobile desk - from holding reading materials to breakfast in bed! I would've given this 5 stars if not for the slight wobble - dispite the wobble, this is a sturdy product that was very easy to assemble.

I like the Mobile Laptop Desk, I use it in the evening when I go to bed to check my email and do extra work while I rest. It keeps my laptop from heating up on my lap. I would suggest it to anyone that works late night and has wireless access.

All in all a big help when using laptop or writing. The split design helps keep papers together and out of the way. The adjusting of the height was my only difficulty with this item.
