Experts tell us to send copies of all household items, insurance, wills, etc. to someone out of state in case of an emergency (post Katrina!). This works great. Everything fits in the container and I mailed the whole thing off to a friend out of state. Now she has everthing in one place neatly packed and organized in case I need it in the future.

My life would be impossible without my collection of these boxes, which now numbers twenty-one. I use some for permanent files -- I can just throw in receipts, clippings, investment reports or packing slips, for instance -- and some are temporary, such as the ones I use when getting together and keeping safe tickets, reservations, information and so on for a trip. These large cases are ideal for keeping together and at hand all the software for your computer, and another will hold all the bits and pieces you may need some day. And all this is only scratching the surface.
