I use this rack to store 2 bikes in the hallway of my apartment. The only con is that setup was a little difficult alone. Saves a lot of space and still allows for adequate passage through the hallway.

Great design and engineering. The top plate (Plastic/Fiberglass) holes did not align to the rails, after rounding out the holes a bit, it fit well enough.

Check your garage first

Comments about Stacks and Stacks Bicycle Rack - Aluminum Bike Racks - Tension Mounted:

Make sure if you get this that the ceiling is sound and the floor is stable. My garage has a concrete slab floor that is, unfortunately, shifting. As a result my bike rack doesn't stay up and falls over. You should also make sure that, if you ceiling is made of sheet rock, that you place this rack under a beam or joist. I've also had the problem that the sheet rock weakens over time and is unable to withstand the tension of this rack.

Other than that, the rack is a great product and a good space saving solution.
