      I like everything about this shelf except for the pine look of the wood -- too many of those dark rings you get with pine. I may paint it to eleminate that look.

                I had this shelf installed in my office by our jack of all trades: there are two L shaped wooded pieces which are screwed into the wall and then the unit slides down into the resulting groove. However, the screw holes were correctly placed in one block BUT NOT THE OTHER. Fortunately, he could improvise, but a real clod like me might have been stymied. It is an issue of quality control at th emanufacturer.

                Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                Shopper: Where are the mounting brackets? Are they on the very ends in back? Would be interested if these could be modified with mitre cut to create a continuous crown using two shelves end to end at an inside corner
