Comments about Robbins Lumber Wooden Drying Rack:

Most of my clothes are delicate and/or state to line dry or lay flat to dry and this holds them all perfectly. The dowels are smooth and have not snagged any of my garments. The top drying rack is perfect for sweaters. I have tried other racks and they did not hold much or broke with any amount of weight. Highly recommend this drying rack!

We purchesed a wooden clothes dryer at a store and it was super cheap and super flimsy. When this came, we were amazed at how stable it is. Well made and easy to break down for storage.

High quality, well-made drying rack! They STILL make 'em like they use to, right here in the USA! MADE IN MAINE. Smooth and sturdy. Got that fresh-wood scent all throughout the room when I unpacked this thing! Very pleased with my purchase - this drying rack will last forever, even with the cat using it as a jungle gym!

Comments about Robbins Lumber Wooden Drying Rack:

I am so pleased with this wooden clothing rack. Its more than I could have asked for. It does hold a full load of clothes! I just found out that my daughter can't have her clothes line dried (due to tree pollen allergies) so this is going to be perfect to use inside.

                  Q & A

                  Questions about this item:
Shopper: How big are the dowels?
Janis B: The dowels are about 1/2 inch in diameter.
Laura G: I believe the dowels are around 3/8#. I love the rack and use it almost every day for drying anywhere from towels and jeans to underwear and socks...
Laurie M: The dowels on my rack are 3/8" thick with 28"-29" of hanging space per dowel.
Cheryl E: Circumference of the dowels (using a cloth tape measure) is just about 1.5 inches. The whole unit is very sturdy - I use it daily! Love it!
Saul K: Majority are 27.25" long; all are 7/16" thick.
Arthur G: The same diameter of any other drying rack
Linda T: They are about 1/2 inch wide abd 28 inches long.
Ann L: The dowels are 3/8 inch. I have been using my dryer for about 3 yrs. and love it. It folds away nicely and is easy to put up.
Douglas W: I gave the rack as a gift to my daughter. She says the dowels are about 1/2 inch in diameter, maybe a little smaller. They are approximately 3 feet long. I hope this helps.
Thomas D: By big, does the shopper mean diameter or length? They are 3/8" in diameter. I can't give the width because I'm out of the country.
Michelle L: Not sure exactly, but close to 1/2 inch - they do not droop when loaded, if that is what you are asking. I have had mine for over 1 year and despite daily (ab)use it is holding up great.
Renee K: the dowels are 3/8 in. I have used my two racks every day since buying them. I gave up the dryer for everything but towels. this is the best made drying rack I have ever owned. I went through three inferior ones before buying these. Good luck.
Nancy N: This is an unusually sturdy rack--we dry heavy quilts and blankets on it, in addition to the rest of our laundry. I believe the dowels are abut 1/2" --in any event, it's the sturdiest of all the various racks we've used in the past 40 years.
                  Comment(s) about this item:
DAWN M: Based on reviews, wanted a durable and sturdy product, preferably made in the USA.
Edward J. M: Positive reviews and large capacity.
Mathew M: Despite the higher price tag compared to to other laundry drying racks, we decided to go with this product because of the excellent reviews by other purchasers.
Sue R: I picked this item to save money on my electric bill and it also puts moisture into the house.
Dawn M: I like to use eco-friendly products and services--my mom and grandmother had something similar!
                  Frank D: BIG and sturdy.
