This is the ONLY over the door shoe storage I have ever seen and purchased that actually has compartments large enough to hold men's shoes. True, one man's shoe per compartment, but that is light years ahead of any other over the door shoe storage. You can't even get the athletic shoe in past the toe in the others. Women's shoes easily fit both shoes in a pair in one compartment. This is a fabulous product. I have now purchased two and likely will purchase more. This is PERFECT for the young man going off to college with limited space in a dorm room.

Best shoe rack I've ever owned (and I've owned many). Takes up little space, sturdier than you'd expect from an over-the-door model, the pouches are very spacious, and the price is fabulous! No more piling shoes on top of shoes, shoes slipping off the rack, or not being able to see all your pairs quickly and easily. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Shopper: Can it be mounted on a wall?

MONICA P: No. There are no attachments to hang on the wall. Only meant to go over the door.

Amy V: It comes with hooks that are meant to go over a door, however, we bought strong L brackets like we use for hanging a bike in the garage, mounted them to the wall and it works great. Hope this helps.

Lynn F: It doesn't come with hardware for that. I suppose you could try sticking nails or picture hanger hooks on the wall. There are 3 holes on the back near the top where you put the enclosed over the door rods.

Mary E: I love shoes, unfortunately I dont have a lot of room, so when I found the 26 pair over the door shoe rack, it seemed perfect. I love the sturdiness and the quality, however the brackets over the door were too thick and I couldn't close my door. I tried to find similar thinner brackets at a hardware store but to no avail. I ended moving the shoe rack to another room where it didn't matter if the door was shut or not. I never thought about mounting it on the wall, but I don't think that that you could just nail it without eventually having the rack tear.

Theresa R: You would need to buy different hardware to mount this on a wall. The shoe rack slides onto the hardware provided through openings in the fabric, so it wouldn't be a difficult switch as long as you could find some hooks at your local hardware store to mount to your wall.

sharron k: Other than nailing it to a wall I don't recommend it. Really for over the door. It's a wonderful shoe holder and very sturdy pockets. The back panel is like a mesh material so wall mounting is not something I would do.

Laura R: You should have no problem at all. My doors are 1 1/2" thick, and the hooks fit comfortably. I even doubled up a regular towel to put over the top of the door for cushioning and to prevent damage to the paint. The hooks still fit fine.

JEROME P: Yes-it's decent-as long as your shoes aren't larger than mens size 14, or high and stiff-the space isn't conducive to stretching or accomodating over-size shoes.

Mary E: It's a great device for shoes except the hardware to hang over the top of the door is quite thick making it extremely difficult to close door. I had to put it in a room that if the door did not close it wouldn't really matter.

jan c: Seems to hold up very well. Had it over a year with shoes in every pocket and no bends, rips or tears. It can get a little heavy so I slid some adhesive felt dots under the metal brackets to protect the door..
