Comments about PPR Direct Handwoven Rattan File Basket:

I love these filing baskets. I now have all my papers filed in these and I have them sitting behind my sofa on my sofa table. I bought four and three fit in the space. Very attractive and easy to pick up. My husband loves them. Great to get rid of the old metal ones. Lids don't fit perfectly but still works ok.

Comments about PPR Direct Handwoven Rattan File Basket:

I first bought 2 of these files. I loved them so much I ordered 2 more. I ended up sorting my files in each of the 4 file bins (personal, work, kids, and other). I feel so organized! When I need to file I just pull a file box out, very light and easy to carry, and start filing. I would highly recommend these.

Comments about PPR Direct Handwoven Rattan File Basket:

I love this basket file box. I had been redoing my home and downsizing on the desk area as it is in the open. This basket is beautiful and goes with my decor, yet I can have my files close by. With going paperless for most things a big ugly file cabinet is not needed and this is the perfect solution. I am going to buy it for my sister who was remarking how beautiful it is. Replaces the unsightly file cabinets, if you don't have much to file. But, you could get more than one. It's also portable if you want.

                Suggestion

                Q & A

                Questions about this item:
Shopper: Are these sturdy enough to stack. I would probably only stack one on top of another (2 levels)? Thank you!
Julie K: Absolutely! You will LOVE them :)
Donna S: I would say these file boxes are sturdy enough to stack and could even be stacked up to even 4 levels (if needed).
Marsha L: I think they would stack if not too heavy of files. There is metal at sides to hold hanging files which gives some reinforcement. Color has more red than picture shows, but works great.
Linda J: Yes, the wicker file boxes are sturdy enough to be stacked two high. I have such an arrangement and have encountered no problem.
Barbara W: Stacking just two of these might work ok. I have one of these and it's relatively sturdy, but the lid has always been slightly warped and doesn't fit on the basket well. It is nice looking.
Stephen L: They are sturdy enough to stack unless perhaps they are overloaded but you would have to move the top one to get at the contents of the bottom - so not for material you have to access frequently.
Lynn R: Although sturdy enough to hold files, I personally wouldn't stack them. I did have mine stacked for a period of about a month and the file on the bottom got a little skewed. I can still use it just fine but I'm not sure what would've happened if they'd been stacked longer.
Molly L: Yes, they are sturdy enough to stack. The only issue I've had is because I move mine in and out from under my desk, it has lost several pieces of wicker. Nothing that makes me wish I hadn't bought it. Just think it is a piece that will hold up better if it has a permanent dwelling place!
Jennifer C: Stephanie, You may be able to stack two since the weight will be supported by the edges/rim. I only have one of the boxes & I had to install a support inside the lid because my cat was using the box as a jumping post onto the bookshelf - her weight on the middle of the lid was causing some wear & strain, but the parameter is very strong. Mine is filled to capacity with files & is quite heavy; that might be a consideration making stacking less desirable. Jenny
Douglas S: Hi, Stephanie B... I think a 2-level stack would work just fine. My one File Box is very sturdy. The structural pieces are a sturdy metal wrapped with wicker. I wondered if the wicker from your proposed top box would catch on the wicker top of your bottom box, so I tested. Put my top on the floor and then my 75%-full box on top of it. No wicker catching. The handles are also very sturdy, so repeated lifting of the top box shouldn't be a problem. I really like my file box. I live in a small apartment and my desk is a table in my living room... so it has no storage. The wicker file box looks nice on the floor and lets me have my most used files right there and handy. Just about every guest I have asks where I got it. Hope this answer is helpful... Doug S.
Patricia F: I have one stacked on top of the other and it works fine. They are a little heavy (depending on the number of files and materials in them) however, the handles make it easy to move.
Martha M: No problem stacking two files. Wish there were feet or wheels on one for bottom level for rolling out under desk.
Anita K: They seem quite sturdy...there is a metal rod structure inside to hold the file folders.
Shopper: Do these baskets really work for hanging files? I've read reviews on similar baskets from other sources. People complain that they are misshapen and that they are really big enough.
Jessica B: They work just fine. If you have a cat he will love it too. Yes, the file folders fit just fine.
Kelly M: They work fine for my files... Regular 8 1/2 x 11 is what i use. I use the hanging file with the file folder inside. Hangs well and moves easily. Cover fits securely.
Jennifer B: These baskets are a great alternative to traditional file cabinets. they work well and hold their shape. There is a metal support system on these that hold the wicker substantially. I have seen others without this that do not hold well, but these do. If you have a lot of files you might need more than one but I find it holds everything I need equal to one file cabinet drawer than I replaced it with.
Terry S: Yes.. WAY better than I expected.. sturdy, attractive wicker too. LOVE it.
Marie-France B: Love my wicker file box. Very sturdy & looks good under my work table. All my daily files are there ready to access.
S M: This is a great file for small volume. In other words, I would not over stuff these files and expect the rods to hold up indefinitely. Portability is the key here and it works for me.
Jill J: Yes - mine works perfectly and is not misshapen at all.
Shopper: Why is this item on many websites unavailable?
GRACE M: Not sure why it is unavailable! I love mine... attractive, sturdy and great for me to easily access necessary files (those qualities may be why they are unavailable). Hope you find some.
Randy B: Very popular, sells out quick

barbara s: Can't find it in my city.. FREE SHIPPING
Dianne K: It fits with the theme of my new closet storage system. Sable wood laminate shelves and drawers with wicker baskets for additional storage.
Joan T: Adding to others previously purchased for office storage.
Barbara W: More attractive than a file drawer
Charles M: The boxes are attractive enough to be left out instead of trying to find a place to hide them.
Joi C: I need a trendy way to file my papers and this fit my decor. Also, I saw the reviews were pretty good,
                Molly L: Attractive organization.
