We like the fact that you can crush your cans on top, then they slide down into the container, out of sight and away from critters. We line ours with a trash bag, then when filled, take off the top, pull out the bag and off to the recycling center. We have owned ours for 10 yrs., so it's very durable. We purchased another for our son who just bought a new home, he was thrilled since he grew up using ours, it's good to pass down the recycling tradition.
