It is nice that you can use it inside the cabinet no mater what way your pipes run. Mine ran to the back and the picture showed them to the floor. Love them and when we are done remodeling the kitchen and back porch I will be looking for more storage ideas

                Suggestion

                Q & A

                Questions about this item:
Shopper: Does this organizer stand on its own ?
Darla D: Yes it does. We have to take ours out to change a water filter and it stands alone fine.
Margaret A: Yes it does stand on its own. Easy to assemble and unbelievable space saver.
Lynn H: It could be free-standing, but might feel a bit flimsy. With the sides of the cabinet for stability, it is sturdy with no need for screws or anchors. Mine came with 10 of those individual white shelving pieces, so it is best for the size cabinet shown - i.e. fairly standard and not oversized
                Patricia B: Yes it does.
Barbara T: Yes and has worked quite well under the sink in my bathroom
                Constance L: Yes
Jan R: Marilyn F, This is exactly what I was looking for and could not find for under my sink. Holds lots of "stuff" and is easily organized. Finally, I can find what I need under the sink without having to take everything out. I highly recommend this product. Jan
                Dorothy B: Yes
                Nancy E: Yes.
pam s: Eyes with simple installation. I have it under my kitchen sink and it helps to max out every inch of storage. I like it.
Shopper: Does this product work with an under sink garbage disposal?
Marie S: Yes. I have an under sink garbage disposal and the organizer fit around it with no problem. I would recommend the organizer.
Susan N: It absolutely will work with your garbage disposal. This is the easiest to arrange shelving unit I have ever found. Enjoy the product if you buy.
Joe S: Yes, it is adjustable. Your garbage diposal might take away some of the room that you could use. Mine is under my bathroom sink simular to the picture.
Debbie H: I do not have a garbage disposal but I think it would. You can put the shelves in any kind of order you want so you should be able to go around a disposal
Karen L: The Expandable Under-Sink Organizer works well under the sink because you can move the shelves to accommodate the garbage disposal. I really like mine.
Deanne B: I bought this shelf system and used it under a bathroom sink. I think the system fitting under a garbage disposal would depend on how large the garbage disposal is. The shelves are small and movable so I would think it would work, but knowing some disposals are very large, I would make sure the width of the frame (from back to front) will accomodate the circumference of the disposal.
Beth B: I used this shelf under my bathroom sinks so can't speak exactly to a kitchen cabinet use, but... After taking a couple of measurements, I can say that I think it will. My disposal leaves about 14" clearance and the shelf goes to a maximum of 16" but the shelf heights are adjustable through out the full 16". Also the 10 included shelf surfaces are each 4" wide giving a great deal of flexibility depending on how wide your entire cabinet area is or the flexible desired width of the overall shelf. Max shelf width - 32"
Suzanne D: Yes it does. I was able to fit this underneath and slightly in front of my garbage disposal. I use the top shelf that is closest to the disposal for smaller/shorter items, or lie the items on their sides (like aerosol cans). So, it does fit and can still be a useful shelf underneath a garbage disposal.
Nancy L: To a certain extent, you just won't have as much shelf space. I got 2, the one in the bathroom is great but I lost too much floor space to use the one under the kitchen sink. (I needed more height)
Shopper: This unit sounds a bit shallow in depth. Will it utilize all the space in a deep under-sink cabinet?
Linda F: You are correct, it doesn't utilize all the space in a deep under-sink cabinet. The shelf is only 11 inches deep.
Michelle H: No, there will be space behind it that you could use to store taller items. A deeper version would be nice.
Leah W: If you install the unit against the back of the cabinet, you still have space in front. I put things I use regularly, like the box of dishwater detergent tabs, in front just inside the door. I have one of these in my bathroom vanity also. It's a great organizer.
Richard C: No, it does not maximize all the space in the cabinet under the sink. It is not designed to do that. The unit is installed towards the front of the cabinet so that it creates a shelf where you can store items ( spray bottles, ajax, brillo, etc) So you double the space in the front of the cabinet. The rear of the cabinet remains the same. There you store items you don't need every day. The problem is not this under sink organizer but the fact that 99% of all sinks have a drain pipe which prohibits the installation of a rear shelf system. If you have a very wide cabinet and the pipes won't interfere, you may be able to purchase a second set and install that in the rear behind the drain pipe first ( you will have to measure carefully and make sure the pipes wont interfere.,, then you can install a front organizer and double your space. If you can't install one in the rear of the cabinet the only solution to maximize that space is have some one cut out a custom designed wood shelf and install it in the rear. I don't think that is necessary in most cases as the sink organizer creates enough space for the average household. It did for us!
Margaret P: I have actually not put this to use yet so I can't answer your question. It's a good question though. Maybe it has enough "play" in moving it toward the back, which would free up space in front to use as you see fit. Either with plastic trays of differing sizes that you could pull out; smaller shelves for small items; or, you could have room to put an expandable rod across the top in front of the shelf to hang spray bottles from (hang by the spray handle over the rod), hang damp dish clothes, etc. When I finally get around to it, I think I will move mine as far back as possible and store the most seldom used things on these shelves and utilize the front in whatever way works best for me. Just some ideas. Hope this helps.
Jeffrey R: It does in mine. Yes, if your cabinet is deep you will have to reach back some to use this. However, it does make it much easier to put things in the cabinet and to limit the clutter. Since the cabinet under my sink is deep, I place the unit at the rear of the cabinet, and organize the items on it according to the frequency with which I use them. The few items that I use most can be easily placed in front of the shelves, for quick access. Because the shelves are tiered, it allows quick and easy visibility of everything stored under the cabinet. The result is a much less cluttered cabinet and much quicker access to the items I need.
Teresa C: The organizer shelf depth is about 11 inches. Depending upon how deep your cabinet is and where the drain is located in the cabinet, it may or may not take up all your space. I am using it under my kitchen sink, cabinet is about 24 inches deep and drain is not quite in the middle, so the shelf sit back a bit from the front opening of the cabinet and gives me about 9 inches of open space in front. Hope that helps.
