      Questions about this item:
      Shopper: Are the inside dimensions wide enough to hold 33 RPM LP Albums in a straight position?
      Matt M: Steve, If they are standard 12" record sleeves they should fit with a little room to spare.
      Shopper: Do these crates stack on top of one another with the opening on the side?
      Matt M: Thank you for your inquiry about this media center. This product has recently been added to our site and has not been purchased yet. I checked with the manufacturer: "The crate is okay to stack another unit on top of another unit with the opening on the side, but they will not be secured, and also the side panels may not be very strong to hold the weight." So to answer the question, yes they can be stacked on their sides, but may not be able to support a great deal of weight. I hope that helps you out, thanks again for your inquiry about this product.
      Shopper: The instructions on the label state: "To interlock and stack, insert a penny into slotted channels on base and push sides of two crates together". Has anyone done this? If so, how can it be done? Can I stack two together on their sides with their openings facing out for a small broom closet?
      Matt M: Jane, the crates can be attached to each other as directed - However, the "shelf" that is created will not be exceptionally sturdy, and is probably best for more lightweight items, i.e. it probably does not make a great bookshelf, as the books will cause the unsupported center areas to sag.
