Love it!
Bought it after mounting TV on wall. I use it to hold the DVR directly below the TV. It was easy to install and looks great! I have now bought a second one for another room.

Shopper: how easy is this to install - i am NOT handy?

Daniel H: The instructions are clear and straight-forward; not a difficult installation, but you do need to read the instructions carefully. It is just a little tricky because if you think about getting it tight to a corner, one side slides pegs into holes and the other side slides along a groove. Going by memory, I used a level, tape measure, power drill, screwdriver, and hammer. Overall, I am REALLY pleased with the shelf. It is strong, understated, unobtrusive, and cleverly designed.

Karen K: I remember it being very simple to hang. It took him just a few minutes.

Ben W: On a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 very hard and 1 very easy, I think it is a 5/6. It looks nice, and you can't see how it is attached, but you must get the two attachment rails at the same height and level.

Adrienne H: I didn't do it because I was too busy, the friend who installed it showed me what he was doing and it was very straight forward. Just put the screws into the wall and then hinge the shelf onto them -- kind of a tongue in groove set up. Hope this helps.

Bruce S: It was surprisingly easy. Works great. I put it under my wall mounted TV to put my PS3 onto. Wanted small shelf. Just make sure to measure and use level. Hope this helps -Bruce

Sheilah W: It looks easier than it is to install. You will need a level to be sure you have placed everything right when marking where you want the shelf to go. My daughter helped me; two heads and four hands were better, and we could consult each other before staring. It's not impossible (the directions are pretty clear) and looks great once it is up, but if you are not handy.....well....this may be more challenging than you want to deal with.

Karin S: I'd love to say but this was installed by a maintenance crew for my mother's room in a nursing home. My dad did report that they had it up in a flash but they are used to doing this all the time. Wish I could be of more help! K

Rhonda B: Nancy, it looks like you may have an overhang of about an inch on each side of the shelf if you put the box in the very front so you can have optimal space. If you don't want any overhang, I would suggest you go to the next larger size. Good luck !

Jennifer E: Nancy, Unfortunately due to the front configuration of the shelf your cable box will not fit without its' corners overhanging. The 14 inches fits across the shelf, however to have the front corners of the cable box remain on the shelf it provides less than 8 inches to the rear. I would suggest going to the larger size shelf.
