This product was given to me as a gift, and is very useful. _However_, I would never have bought one myself. There's nothing wrong with it, but the fact is that it is just a few bucks worth of wood, a strap, and some screws, and it'd take about ten minutes to assemble one yourself, including drilling the holes. It's not exactly a complex piece of 'equipment'. Thus, it goes well beyond 'expensive' and firmly into the category of 'rip-off'.

After spending 90% of 5 weeks in bed due to a back operation having a laptop easily accessible was a real sanity saver. We had also tried a hospital type bed table which would have not worked nearly as well and turned out to be too low. The Laptop Desk was the perfect solution. We did use a strap around the top of the computer to secure the laptop to the table.
