Comments about Merrick Engineering 36 Pair Over the Door Shoe Rack:

I tried everything to get the 3-sections to stay together; even used Crazy glue but unit would not stay flush to the door. Shoes continuously slipped behind the unit. Pull out one pair of shoes and 90% of the others would fall down the back piling up on the floor. Strugged with it for over 2 years and I finally gave up and bought something else.

Comments about Merrick Engineering 36 Pair Over the Door Shoe Rack:

Although I love the intended design, this rack is held to the door by the tiniest screws I've ever seen. The sides of the rack are supposed to slip over these tiny screws to hold the rack to the door. Needless to say putting any weight on these screws causes the rack to slip off and all of your shoes tumble to the floor behind the rack -- between the rack and the door. I'm tired of re-assembling the rack and putting the shoes back only to have it happen again immediately.

Comments about Merrick Engineering 36 Pair Over the Door Shoe Rack:

This fell apart EVERY time I shut the closet door. All the shoes would fall to the floor. So, one day I left the door open, and at two in the morning...they came crashing down! Not a good way to wake up! I'm now looking for one that is all metal and more durable.

I have had to put this thing back up 4 times now and every single time it falls back down. The racks slip apart. This is the most frustrating thing I have ever owned. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.

        Q & A

        Questions about this item:
Shopper: How sturdy is this shoe rack? I had another brand shoe rack recently on which the plastic broke.
Anna Mae S: It seems to be fairly sturdy. However you will need to attach to the door or it will pull away from the door when filled with shoes.
        Comment(s) about this item:
Helen G: It holds 36 pairs of shoes and looks more sturdier than ones I have purchased in the past.
