After a few phone calls to local stores (major retail chains), I was unable to find such an item (swivel TV stand), so I did fairly extensive online research... and found this product. Needless to say, it meets functional expections and quite possibly exceeds expectations regarding quality/durability. Highly recommended!

    This turntable supports and turns our new HDTV perfectly. It's well-balanced, very useful and good-looking. And it fits in well with today's styles.

    The only downside is that you need to hold it for a moment after turning to keep it from turning on its own.

    Shopper: How well did it work? How long did it last? Why did you pick this one vs. others?
    Joycelyne P: It works great and we still have it! My husband loves it... it was a gift for him. I picked this one for the shape since it was going on our dresser and I didn't want something that took up a lot of space. Also, not sure if you've had this problem, but at the time I was looking for one of these, they were very hard to find. I did not feel there was a lot of selection. That could have changed. The only problem: depending on the weight distribution, you can't just move it, say, a couple of inches to the left or right - it will swing back to where it was. It moves great and stays, for the most part, if you're moving it 90 degrees or more. It very well could be because we have a 32" TV sitting ON TOP of the directTV receiver which then sits on this. We needed both to be on top of the swivel because of the wires. We tried putting just the tv on the swivel and then both on the receiver, but that didn't work. You are probably more savvy about your setup, so this should be perfect. I would buy it again...and will, if this one ever breaks! Good luck!
    Trudy B: It swivels nicely, smoothly, and quietly, and I swivel it daily to be able to watch the TV from two locations. I bought it in Oct 2011 and it is still fine in June 2012. I chose Oval because it fit under a flat screen better, and took up less space on the console.
    Karen H: It works great, and is still being used. I picked this one because my TV has a DVD player connected. My bedroom is long and narrow, my TV is at the end of my bed. I can watch TV in bed, then I turn it completely around (being careful of the cords) to watch in the living space of the room.

    Shopper: The pedestal under my 37" tv is17" x 11"D The measurements given is 10"H x16"W x 2" D. I am picturing a wide, skinny high swivel. Doesn't make sense to me. What does it look like? Carol in St. Louis
    Joycelyne P: It looks like the picture... the dimensions are probably noted in error. It's about 2 inches HIGH...and then 10" x 16"
    Judy A: It is a very low swivel and you do not notice it under the pedestal from the TV. It works great!
    janet j: If it is the one I bought, it sits about one inch high and is an oval shape with the dimensions of approximately 10 inches by 16 inches.
    Matt M: The measurements are a little mixed up. If it makes more sense, the product is actually 2"H x 10"W x 16"D.
