This is so great for the fall. I hate leafblowers, and raking the amount of leaves on my lawn is out of the question...It would be a full-timne job!
        This sweeper is a lifesaver.

I have a large yard and hoped that this would be an excellent tool for leaf removal. I have put things together before but this has poor instructions and I felt for the price of this tool it should have excellent instructions. As far as being adjustable good luck, it still doesn't work. So,it hangs in my garage. As the saying goes there is one born everyday, and the day I bought this I discovered I was one. Poor construction does not help.

This sweeper is only good for light leaf pick-up. I have a large yard with many many trees. And it doesn't pick up leaves that are even slightly wet or stuck to ground. Just light, loose, dry leaves. I returned it immediately. For the money, you'd be better off with a great blower with a mulcher.

Adjustable height is a key to effectiveness. Works as well as one can expect. Only concern is rust potential over time with exposure to moisture, etc. Stores well - folds fairly flat and hangs from handle on two nails on garage wall.

                Q & A

                Questions about this item:
Shopper: How does it perform with acorns? What is the cubic area of debris that the bag holds? It looks to me that debris would fly up into my face with out a top enclosure?
Jeff W: I purchased the lawn sweeper last fall and only used it a few times. My observations : the debris did NOT fly up in my face. It picked up debris pretty well but the ground or at least the span between the wheels needs to be level for it to work. If there is more than a minor dip in the ground between the wheels then the brushes that sweep the debris into the catcher won't make contact and work as intended. The ground in the areas I used it in was pretty level so I did not have that problem. I mostly picked up leaves, long pine needles, and sweet gum balls with no problems. It didn't get all of it but most or roughly 80 - 90%. I did not try picking up acorns but doubt it would be successful unless they were up high in the grass. Again this is just my opinion but I don't think the bristles of the brushes are stiff enough to lift the weight of the acorns from the ground (especially if they are down near the ground instead of up higher on the grass). My biggest disappointment with the unit is the frequency in which I had to empty the catching unit bag. I was using it in an area that had a lot of oak tree leaves but had to stop and empty the bagger every minute or so. If you are using it in an area where there isn't too much debris or the debris is small pieces (pine needles, small leaves...) it would probably be okay. If I could do it again I'd pass on this unit because I had to empty the bagger too often. It had a big bag capacity but the debris would accumulate near the point where the brushes throw it up in the bag and not allow any more debris to be pushed up into the bagger without emptying the roughly 20% full bag or stopping every 15 or 20 seconds to use your had to rake the debris away from the brushes. I hope this helps.
JOHN L: It didn't work well at all. With repeated sweeping, it would pick up perhaps a quarter to half of the leaves. part of the problem might have been the uneven surface of our lawns. I suspect that it might work better if the lawn were perfectly flat. I can't imagine that it would pick up acorns. It went into the garbage after a disappointing month.

Paxton W: Need for small yard where no blower would help.
