This is absolutely the worst Internet purchase I have made in recent memory. The design looks innovative and, yes, maybe stylish, but the quality of the product is dismal.For some reason, I assumed the various parts were metal. The base is at least a metal skin, but the center post and "skeleton hand" assembly are wood. The wooden dowels are poorly finished and show many dents, scratches, etc. The fingers that hold the "leather-like" cradle are not even the same length, and two of the five were warped to an extent that I noticed it after the cradle was installed.As for assembly, the bolt that holds everything together would not go through the hole in the base until the base was reamed to clear out some substance. There is no metal thread insert in the dowel that holds the five fingers, so you are threading the bolt into a hole in the wood itself. The hole in the center post was not accurately drilled, causing the hand to pivot freely for 180 degrees and then bind and stop on the other half of a rotation. The "leather-like" material is reminiscent of the cheapest material you have ever seen, and the stitching has a coarse "I made it at camp" look to it.This piece was so unattractive that I didn't want it on the end table, so, loaded with four remotes, I set it on the carpet under the table and tried in vain to get it to stand upright. In fairness, the holder would stand up on a solid surface, but it doesn't take much to tip it over.All things considered, I would not pay [$] for this holder at a garage sale, which is where it is going.If you appreciate quality and craftsmanship, do yourself a favor and do not consider purchasing this product.
