It's super easy to assemble, no tools needed, can be put together in a matter of minutes. The bottom wire shelf is perfect for flat shoes that you can't hang off on an angle (ie. runners, ballerina flats) because not ALL shoes have heels. I put knee high boots on the top rack and it's still sturdy enough to roll around. (I also have stackable ones that are metal and expandable but they are not as easy to move around as those)

My only comment is that it could be ever-so-slightly wider, because if you want to put as many pairs on one rack/level, you'd have to squeeze the 4th pair a bit - hope this makes sense; otherwise I guess it would be 3 pairs per rack with a bit of space.
