Comments about South Shore Computer Desk with Hutch - 4606782: A decent looking little desk. and it will serve fine as the wifes desk\\laptop\\paperwork desk. And maybe a kids desk later.\n\nOne of the pedestals has NO support. If you want to move the desk you need at least three people, and be sure to TAKE OFF the hutch first.\n\nThe hutch is not permanently or even securely attached, just sits on top. try to move the desk and it will fall.\n\nShould have had a backing board for the cabinet side of the desk. Put too many things in and you will ultimately push something out the back, I have already bought a thin board to serve as backer. \n\nThe boards are composite wood. Not a problem if the wood is strong enough... this wood DEFINITLY was NOT. When tightening the latch nuts they would often dig into and splinter or deform the surface.\n\nNo extra latch nuts for assembly and the ones provided break eaisly, two broke while I was assembling. Nails!! The instructions SHOW that you should use 30 ant only 20 are provided.\n\nThe latch bolts were supposed to be installed with a special tool to ensure proper installation depth... tool not included.\n\nThe desk was designed to be assambled in two defferent ways depending on preference. This means that about a dozen extra holes were drilled in the panels to provide for the choice. Some plugs were included to press into the holes so that you dont have unsightly holes in the panels. Unfortunately the plugs are a little small, about half have already fell out, but a small amount of glue will make them stick.\n\nSome latch plugs had small plastic covers to help with the apperance of the desk. about half of these won;t stay because of the problem with the latches digging into the wood, makes them not be even with the surface and the plugs don't sit correctly.
