This shoe rack is exactly what we were looking for. I especially like the optional metal cover for the top shelf - so we can put baskets with hats and gloves on top. Sturdy too.

I use this shoe rack in my mudroom. It is great for umbrellas and wet shoes too. The only bad thing was that several pieces of the wood were warped and so it is not level and does not seem to fit together right. Maybe it was just bad luck on my part to get one that was warped.

This rack is so attractive that it doesn't need to be hidden away, like most others; it looks like a piece of furniture!

The shelves are also deep enough to accommodate MEN's larger shoes, without them hanging out the back side.

The fact that the metal tray is removable is also a nice feature; you can use it in wet weather, and remove it in the dry months...it's also a nice catch basin if you want to display a plant or two on the top rack.
