This trash can replaces a smaller one which fit under our cabinet top. When we placed the Infrared can there, the top would stick open. Our kitchen is very small, so right now the only place we have to put the Infrared can is in the middle of the floor. The sensor is so sensitive, that every time we walk by, the top opens! That doesn't present a problem except it probably runs down the batteries! The can is very good at keeping in odors because the top fits tightly. We really like this can. It is more stable than any we've ever had and doesn't hold odors like plastic cans do. We have only had it a couple of months, but if it holds up for several years, it will be a great value. [...]

We purchased this trash can from another retailer originally and LOVED it. Unfortunately, our movers destroyed the trash can in the move and we searched everywhere for the same product. Luckily Stacks & Stacks carried our beloved trash can (this model keeps our dogs out of the trash!!) for the best price we could find on the web. Thanks!
