Clothesline - Wall-Mounted 5-Line Retractable by Household Essentials

The Wall-Mounted 5-Line Retractable Clothesline makes air drying clothes and towels a cinch!  Great for indoor or outdoor use with a tension knob for stability.

Safely drip-dry laundry indoors or outdoors with this space-saving retractable drying line! Five clotheslines combine to provide 61-3/4 feet of total drying area - ample room for hanging clothes, sheets and more. A tension control knob keeps lines taut so you won't have to worry about your clean laundry drooping to the ground. When wash is dry, this convenient clothesline system neatly hides away - the lines smoothly retract, tangle- free, into the high-impact plastic wall-mounted holder. Wall hook mounts on the opposite end of the holder to secure outstretched line to the wall. The 5 clothes-lines are plastic-coated to wipe clean with a damp cloth. Handy in the laundry room, bathroom, garage, basement or outside for the patio or backyard. Easy installation, and all hardware included. Attaches via keyhole style holes and screws. Length extends up to 12.25'. Order one today, and let the drying begin!

Comments about Clothesline - Wall-Mounted 5-Line Retractable by Household Essentials - MD-61:

This clothes line is a functional item but be gentle with it. When extending the lines pull gently and allow to retract slightly as you pull so that the 'unwind' function does not allow the lines to tangle. Works very well if you take your time.
Could be manufactured a little better but for the price it's not bad.

        Comments about Clothesline - Wall-Mounted 5-Line Retractable by Household Essentials - MD-61:

It is so cheaply made it will not even hold clothes up without dragging the line. The mechanism is cheaply made, also and misses clicks when trying to wind up.

        Comments about Clothesline - Wall-Mounted 5-Line Retractable by Household Essentials - MD-61:

Product broke on the first day. Thankfully my husband is handy and he installed a sturdier bracket made of wood for the other end of the clothes line. Should not have been made from plastic in the first place.

I made the mistake of installing this so I cannot return it, however, I have already ordered a different model from a different manufacturer at 4 times the price that I believe will be worth the money. This one was not even worth the [$]. I would never recommend this to anybody.

        Comments about Clothesline - Wall-Mounted 5-Line Retractable by Household Essentials - MD-61:

The wheel does not LOCK easily so the lines sag. More use of metal would improve quality and durability. Would be worth paying twice the price. Think Audi Vs GM.

Our last one broke when the plastic rollers gave out. Still it WAS ten years old.

          Suggestion

          Q & A

          Questions about this item:
Shopper: Does this work well with towels and heavy sweaters?
Chris E: I don't find 5 line retractable works well at all. The lock for the spring loaded roller is too temperamental. And because the lines are the same piece of string, if one line gets stretched it becomes more of a headache than trying to even out shoelaces.
Tamera S: I have put jeans on it, you do have to make sure your putting similar weight items on each line to keep from sagging.
Jerry K: Not sure. Had given this to my mom. She said that the strings broke after a few months. So, I guess the answer is no.
Joseph N: Yes it does. I have been using one since 2010 to hang my winter laundry inside to dry with no problems at all with all sorts of items. It's a handy little unit. Kind regards, J.R. Neuberger Elkton, Maryland
          Comment(s) about this item:
Jean W: Need for an art class at the YMCA. A little disappointed there was not free shipping, as i had been told.
          Mario R: For convenience
Salvatore R: Looked like it would work in my laundry room and the price was great
