My maltese Tank loves his PEN. When he's in it he looks like he feels at home safe and secure. We just keep the door open and he just comes and goes as he pleases. He goes in there to chew on his bones or wrestle a slipper or just to nap. At the end of the day at bedtime he goes in willingly for the night. We sometimes put him in there and lock it when it's time to put down carpet freshner and vacuum. The only thing about this pen is that is dosen't come with the Floor Tray pictured. I had to order it from a separate company. Tank dosen't complain and neither do I.
